The record, which was released in 2004, still matches the current societal state in Nigeria. From ethnic/religious killings to police violence/brutality to jungle justice to political injustice and corruption, the song touches on the diverse ills and calamities befalling citizens of the nation as a result of ethnic/religious disunity, political thuggery, insatiable power quest, corruption and greed.
It is a lot disheartening that, over a decade after the song’s original release, the country has continually degenerated in all sectors. Recently, the government has been attacking the youths who exercised their fundamental rights of staging a peaceful protest against the police brutality and bad governance in Nigeria.
